How to draw a falling figure

The painting technique that I used for this patch is pretty straightforward, so I'm going to talk of how to draw manga, plus my ideas and decision-making processes that developed while I was creating this character drawing.

I started this paradigm for fun during my costless time. I got glorious piece randomly watching anime shows unrivalled Sat break of the day. I wanted to convey a floating or jump character, on a bookmark-sized canvas. After difficult out a variety of poses, I ended finished with a female student figure descending from the sky.

The biggest worry during the initial stage was the surround. I wasn't keen to settle the road of doing what's widely titled a 'fan service' piece, so I moved the left knee joint a little many to the left of shot. My object was to depict a character reference inebriated with accessories, so I gathered references for a Japanese schoolgirl's pocketbook, and added it to my undefined retention of what other items my school friends carried round with them.

In one of my sketches the character is belongings on to her umbrella. It looked a trifle uneasy then I decided to separate the hand and umbrella. The reason for including the umbrella was to have an interesting shadow drop ended the fictitious character, and to depict the effect this had on colors that were now in the shade.

This degree involves fixing every small particular

I love this level the most, because it involves mending every small detail of everything in the image. I also let to make up one's mind what elements of the image go along which layers. I'll go back to the overrefined sketch layer whenever I'm uncertain how I should progress.

It's good to have a rough idea about the firing and color you'll cost portrayal

Right from the start of the procedure I have a warty thought about the lighting and colourise I'll beryllium depicting. I prefer to substitute elements using a solid colour, then that any future colour adjustments will exist well-to-do to brawl subsequently. I also apply a simple shadow here.
